As a businesswoman, I have those days wherein I wish I had a mentor when I was starting LittleMsPrinter. Or a community that is open to share their ideas on how to run a business or how to recover from adversities or how to discover your purpose. Yes, those are existing but most of them are not applicable for Micro, Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (MSMEs).
And last, September 5 (Wednesday), I had my hashtag blessed moment to witness such event. I heard five members of Entrepreneur’s Organization talk about their success stories and moments of failures.
Yes, I am not a “foodpreneur” or someone who has food business. But, I am also an entrepreneur that needs feeding and hear a lot of insights from those who started conquering their giants not just within themselves but more of to make a difference in the lives of other people — giving jobs, inspiring others and taking greater heights.
Sharing with you some of my key take-aways from the talk.
But, I love how each one of them talked about the purpose behind their businesses and how does it change as their business grows or goes through changes. I am reminded of how mine changed from time to time. As the business grows, I became more selfless in a way — I am not just about the profit but at some point I want substance and purpose. I love putting a strong sense of “WHY?” in every single step I do.
Anyway, going back! I wanna share some more about the talk.
I am so happy that I got to talk to the two speakers who really made me PAUSE and THINK about what am I doing and how am I running my business. Also, it’s a blessing in disguise that I was able to share the journey I am taking. Guess what! They even gave me blessings and permission to message them anytime. Also, Ms. Kerwin blessed me with a short but impactful prayer.
