Last June 29, 2017, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Philippines had the “Art of Tea” Workshop at their newest branch in Ayala Malls Vertis North. And finally I am free to attend the said workshop.
And every time that CBTL PH will host workshops, they make sure that every participant will have a complimentary drink and food. We got Grilled Chicken Pesto, Chocolate Chip Cookies and our choice of Tea.
Ms. Kim from the Marketing Department of CBTL PH warmly welcomed us and Ms. Pam, the Training Officer of CBTL PH talked about appreciaTEAng every cup of Tea CBTL has to offer.
Ms. Pam started the talk by telling us the story of where CBTL sources their coffee and tea. I am amazed of discovering where The Caring Cup actually started. But, I am more amazed of how every tea is processed — from Leaves to Bags and from Cups to Tummies.
And here comes my favorite part. We discussed the four categories of tea –Green, Black, Oolong and Herbal Infusion. I was able to discover why do the steeping time for each tea is different. And that’s where the most interactive part happened — trying three tea flavors from each category (except Oolong, which I personally hope CBTL will carry in their stores).
